Below we have collected the answers to the most frequently asked questions.
How far is it from the sea?
Our campsite is directly by the sea.
How far is the nearest town?
The nearest town to our facility is Castiglione della Pescaia, which is about 5 km away.
How can the town be reached?
During the summer months, a bus service is available approximately every 30 minutes (ticket cost around €1.00 – one-way). The bus stop is located directly in front of the campsite.
You can also reach the town by bicycle, thanks to a small cycle path that connects the Rocchette road to the town center.
By car, it takes just 5 minutes – paid parking is available in the town center, while free parking can be found outside the center.
Are the pitches shaded?
The campsite is nestled in a pine forest, so most of the pitches are shaded.
Are the pitches delimited?
At our campsite, you will find both delimited and non-delimited pitches.
Do the pitches have private facilities?
The pitches do not have private facilities. There are two sanitary blocks with hot showers, sinks, and dishwashing areas. Additional sink stations are also located in other parts of the campsite.
Are the showers coin-operated?
Hot showers are included in the daily rate and do not require tokens.
Is it possible to book a pitch during high season?
During high season, it is possible to book a pitch, subject to availability, for a minimum of 14 nights. The pitch will be assigned upon arrival.
Do you only take bookings from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday?
As for rental accommodations, during high season stays start and end on Saturdays only. For camping pitches, there are no restrictions on the arrival and departure days.
Is the parking inside the campsite? Is it subject to a fee?
Parking, included in the daily rate, is located outside the campsite, about 15 meters away on the opposite side of the road.
Is the parking area supervised?
The parking area is reserved exclusively for guests of the facility, but it is not supervised.
Do you have a swimming pool?
The campsite has direct access to the beach but does not have a swimming pool. During the low season, guests can use the beautiful swimming pool at Camping Village Rocchette – for an entrance fee – located just 300 meters from our facility.
Is half board or full board available?
Yes, upon reservation and for a minimum of 3 days:
Half board (breakfast, lunch or dinner):
Adults: €21.00 per person per day
Children up to 11 years: €16.00 per person per day
Full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner):
Adults: €30.00 per person per day
Children up to 11 years: €21.00 per person per day
Meals include: first course, second course, side dish, dessert/fruit, coffee.
Drinks are not included.
Do the pitches have electricity? If so, what voltage?
Electricity use is included in the price, and power columns are available for multiple pitches. The voltage is 2 Amps.
Do you accept minors?
At our campsite, we accept minors only if there is at least one adult in the group who will be present for the entire duration of the stay.
Do you accept dogs?
Dogs are accepted throughout the season for guests staying with a camper, caravan, or tent. Additionally, your four-legged friends are also welcome in our Mini Lodges and Lodge Tents!
Is internet connection available? Is it paid?
We have free Wi-Fi in the common areas, on the beach, and in the mobile homes.
How far is the nearest hospital?
The nearest hospital is about 25 to 30 km from our facility, in Grosseto.
Is there an emergency room/tourist medical service nearby?
The emergency room is about 25 to 30 km from our facility. During the summer months, there is a tourist medical service in Castiglione della Pescaia, about 5 km from the campsite. In the summer, a private doctor will also be available every morning at our campsite.
Is there a pharmacy nearby?
The nearest pharmacies are in Castiglione della Pescaia (about 5 km away). During the summer months, they are open all day, including evenings according to scheduled shifts.
Do you have both paid beach areas and free public beaches?
Both. We have direct access to our equipped beach, which is paid and available by reservation, and right next to it is the free public beach.
Are dogs allowed on the beach?
The municipal regulations are as follows: until June and from mid-September onward, dogs are allowed on both the free and equipped beaches and may enter the water. During the bathing season, from 9 AM to 7 PM, dogs are only allowed on the paid beaches, and must stay under the umbrella.
Of course, they are always welcome at the dog beach (Bau Beach), which is 500 meters from our campsite.
What is the nearest train station?
There are two stations at an equal distance: Follonica and Grosseto, about 25 km away.
Are there sports fields in the area?
Yes, there are five-a-side football and tennis courts 300 meters from our campsite, a mini golf course about 3 km away, a golf course approximately 15 km away, and an athletics stadium 3 km away.
Is it possible to rent bikes?
Yes, we have a bike rental point (city bikes, trekking, mountain bikes) within the campsite, with the possibility of guided tours in the area.
